2019 Diversity and Inclusion Conference

“Offender Re-entry: Insight to Breaking Barriers and Building Opportunities. What Can We Do?”

Coming Together Stark County will be presenting our 4th Diversity Inclusion Conference on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The topic for this year’s conference is:

“Offender Re-entry: Insight to Breaking Barriers and Building Opportunities. What Can We Do?”

The Conference will be held in the Silk Auditorium of Stark State College, 6200 Frank Ave., in North Canton, OH 44720.

It will be an exceptional full day seminar and workshop focused on critical issues surrounding how our community and legal systems work with the re-entry population. Participants will learn the benefits of inclusion, important information on reintegration into the community and the workplace and how to support community members.

The Conference and Workshops Include:

• Panel discussion featuring a diverse group from the Re-entry population
• Legal Aid presentation regarding laws and trends
• Details about the Stark County Re-entry court
• Ideas on how to prepare a community for people who are being released from incarceration.
• Techniques for how the community can get involved.
• Workshops on Employment, Family Reunification, Housing and Behavioral and Physical Health Integration.
• CLE and CEU credits are pending!

Cost: $125, includes CTSC Membership
